True Love never fails:Entertaining ZooZoos

ABOUT ZOOZOOS

Zoozoos the ingenious promotional characters used by a telecom network. The creatures in the new Vodafone ads are called ZooZoos. People were already in awe of those cute and lovable characters, but the curiosity heightened when Vodafone disclosed that Zoozooz were not animated, rather humans were playing those characters. People were even more hungry to know about their favorite Zoozooz.

Zoozoos are small pseudo-animated characters with big egg-shaped head, round belly but extremely thin arms and legs. It was a fresh and innovative concept and Vodafone wonderfully promoted their services by creating different stories featuring Zoozoos.

The recent ads of Stock Alerts, Filter Unwanted Callers and Cricket Commentary have really raised the bar which is already higher. These ideas really stick and people actually pay attention and might even remember the short codes given after the ad.

Vodafone chose the Indian Premier League 2 (IPL-2) as a platform to launch their advertisement, which proved to be a great marketing strategy.

How Google works??

GOOGLE

All people are busy Googling ! Students, teachers, workers, businessmen, jobseekers all are watching Google as an important part of their lives.

The term Google was adapted from word 'Googol' which represents a very large number, 1 followed by 100 zeroes. Google was designed by Larry page and Sergey Brine in January 1996 at Stanford. The domain Google.com was registered on September 15; 1997.The Headquarter of Google is situated at California. Today Google is available in 35 languages.

HOW GOOGLE WORKS:--

The accuracy and speed of Google is based on the page rank algorithm. Google essentially contains following three elements:

1) Googlebot /Spider :It is a web crawler that find and fetches WebPages .It connects to the web server around the world to fetch document and hands off to the Google Indexer.

2) Indexer: It sorts every word on every page and stores the resulting index of words in a huge database. An Index is just like an index in a book helping us look for relevant topics on the listed page number.

3) Query Processor: It compares your search query to the index and recommends the documents that it considers most relevant.

Once index is ready,Google is ready to rank documents and determine how relevant they are.

Google Uses many factors for deciding the relevance of the page:-

1) Page rank Algorithm:-It sees how many links there are to that web page from other pages. Each time we add a link to page containing a key work, Google interprets this as a vote for that page. The more are the links to the page the more votes the page gets and its relevance increases and Google assign it a higher page rank on a scale of 1-10.

2) There are other factors like for example a page containing a title with "BIT SINDRI" gets a higher rank over page with "BIT". Similarly, a page mentioning the two pages gets a higher rank.

Google tool bar helps to find out the rank of page we are looking at. For providing a button in their toolbar called page rank ,Just click on it and the ranking of Google is displayed.

For example...if we type a query looking for "BIT SINDRI" Google will search for the keyword in the index it has prepared.

As an example the index for keywords will look something like this:

Keywords        page number containing keywords

BIT            3    8    22    56    65

SINDRI            2    8    22        65

Both Words            8    22        65

The index shows the pages which contain both words. The list of documents that contains a word is called a "posting list", and looking for documents with both words is called "intersecting a posting list".

So, this is all about Google.
